hello. new 2008. new changes.

change is a constant. correct? but there is no constant change.

that means, some changes are huge and rapid. others are small and slow. then of cos the huge and slow and small and rapid. but its all change. what makes a start of a year so different? i guess its when we are most aware of changes that has happened and changes that will come. or maybe for some its the end of the year that brings about the awareness. cheers and regrets, joys and pains, all part of a well lived year. nothing is more complete that the whole spectrum of feelings. only when we suffer will we know what joy and comfort is. of cos we rather more joy and comfort than suffering.

but its all a flux. sometimes in our control, sometimes not. but its awesome to embrace that change. there are parts of us that will stay the same. that makes us who we are that makes us who we are that pple love. then there are parts of us that will change.

and there is nothing sad about it. there is no way we can stop time and remain in that limbo. time is a dimension created for us to live in and live through. yea we are getting old. life is getting more complicated very quickly or very slowly depending on how you look at it. but its alright. we will survive it, we will change, and lose that part of us, and gain whats to become of us.

but there are two things that is constant and makes life and its processes all so much bearable.
1. God. whose unfailing love for us is beyond all understanding and it never dies.
2. Friends. friends don't always remain the same. we can lose friends no matter how close we were to them. but we gain new friends, who offer us so much happiness. and then again there are friends who have gone through the toughest of times with you and i cannot imagine doing without them. Thank God for them.

here's to a good 2008.

my resolutions.
  1. no tv on weekdays. so far its working cos if i watch more than 10 mins on weekdays i owe ian a drink:(
  2. live a healthier more conscious life. cos we all love good health but i doubt i am doing enough about it
  3. walk even more closely with God. walk the talk, talk about the walk. be honest, no compromise.
  4. be less violent. as hard as it is. or rather, be appropriate.
  5. be on task. pioritise my work well and put in effort even in subjects i don't like. cos i'm not studying for my own glory. its not about surviving, its about learning.
  6. be more open to criticism. stop letting it let me feel like crap.
  7. be more a friend than an acquaintance.
