hello folks. back from obs and it was truly awesome.

i know that most of us went in sec3 and it was not the most pleasant experience. but what this time showed me was that the people you go with makes the biggest difference and I won't talk too much about this cos my group has heard so many times from me during sharing time (emo circle)

certain moments i'll rmb forever

floating tru the mangrove trying not to hit the trees or get matthew(kayaking buddy) too acquainted with the trees (sorry). it was so nice. if u look at eye level it feels like we are in a documentary, with the bright tropical sun and its a small place with few bugs to bother u, brightly lit, with naturish sounds, cosy but not claustrophobic. if you look at the water, ehhh don't.

the disgustingly hot tent at our outdoor campsite. i think i got an hour of sleep at most at the pavilion outside of the tent. and cos its just next to the sea, the kelongs and the land lights that i assume is singapore are just shimmering over the sea. you can just pause and look at it, a sight framed by the silhouette of a few plants by the sea side. after a while of giving up on sleep if u just look at it, the sea and its dancing lights is so calming and assuring. so distant yet also very nostalgic. and then i think of ben! i know ben told me about the lights before. that its very nice and all that. but seeing it myself is just gladness.

i believe on the first day we arrived there they gave us this quote: Be tough, yet gentle, humble, but bold, swayed always by beauty and truth.

i suppose that the moment we give in to something for no good reason thats beauty. (kant's purposiveness without purpose)

and also treking through the rain. when kangyu mentioned 2.4 back to camp, suddenly it became very attainable. and my favourite is the last sprint back to dorm, still in the rain, soaked through and through with a bag ready to break our backs. no happier moment haha. and thanks to tock seng watch the 3 crazy people, sophia, michael, leslie next to me who ran with me! haha

and i'm thankful for the girls cos i get the most encouragement out of their gungho-ness!

folks your kid's future is in safe hands hahaha.
