omega night '06

whooooot!

yay omega night rocks. the deco rocks! hahaha could not have done it without lydia. the room whoa colourful. and leon and bear who had to budget and everything but allowed us to buy so much deco stuff and help get prizes.

bear, besides the fact he wanted to get dustbins as prizes, is a genius. the rose syrup plus lime thing is awesome! haha. next time have party, he can provide the drinks and food.

ok one thing about the sharing, i was totally unprepared cos i din know it was to be right after worship, so i din really get any notes. which i intended to rewrite but kinda spent the day on the setting up and the banner. quite sad i din manage to share more something more organised and stuff, cos i just forgot everything i had planned to say. sigh i felt really terrible after that and ya, if i can make amendments, something that i really really really wanted to share was the song with all my heart that was kinda covered in the worship. i was really happy when they were practising cos was like oh how shun bian! later when i share at least pple know what i'm talking bout. but in the end i forgot:( anyhow i thought the last stanza was very very meaningful to me:

You faithfully supply my needs according to your plan
So help me Lord to seek Your face before I seek Your hand
Then trust You know whats best for me when I don't understand
Then follow in obedience in every circumstance

Its like how often God just provides and provides for me, and although i may not realise it at first He guides me by letting me fail at some areas but allowing me to be good at others.
But how often we only want His help and not really bothering to know Him, to seek Him.
But we should trust Him and His plan even if we don't understand why we are failing to do somethings we wanted to and why we succeed at other things so naturally.
So, i'll just follow Him obediently no matter what happens.

yupp thats bout it. some other stuff, but not so impt. but it was a good lesson. if ever i have to share again i need to be completely prepared for anything!

oh btw omega night was really fun and the tables although completely not what was planned, was super cool! i was super groggy in the morning cos not enough sleep and the banner supposed to be done in the morning so got the afternoon to dry ya? haha we din really have a plan. it was like chalk already err cannot lah change plan change plan and change plan then can lah can make do with it sorta thing. the paint is awesome though. leftovers from camp. i like the paint:) the cloths was mostly put up the night before we stayed till ten plus then the rest of the stuff i kinda like left it to lydia and gang. i think they did an awesome job:)

the worship on the lawn! that was cool. to have it outside was a nice change. and the weather could not have been more perfect. thank God for answering our prayers and giving us such good weather! although can imagine set up must be quite hard. poor log pple slogging really hard over this event!

and my friends this is why as awesome and funky as omega night is, it is only once a year.
