hello

been a long time.

art exhibition is over. coursework was over since 24 sept and the examiners came last wed. thanks for everyone who came last friday. thank you very much:)

a list of pple to thank. i might miss out some pple but anyway

• to pagey for her help during my animation trials and during the actual animation. and for her trolley as well:) super useful
• to fungshing for also helping me with the animation and buying me breakfast one day so i don't starve.
• to fizah who came down even though i was wasting her time when technology decided to pms on me.
• to wenyu who also came to click for me

who helped me click and look after my equip while i go toilet, stay sane/insane

• queenie who holds up my arm for one or 2 scenes haha

• bixue for buying food for art class and keeping me company
• josh for all his help with the programme and video cam stuff
• luochen who sort was my neighbour for all her dentist funny moments
• shuhan for feeding us melamine
• chinyang for his poems and making us smile and think life could be worse when we see him hahahaha. oops.
• zix for wax breaking stress relief sessions
• ben for cooking sushi to feed starving pple.
• parents for dinner. somehow art pple always seem to get the best dinners:) aren't we a loved lot.
• and random pple like friends of j1s who i grabbed to help me cos they were the nearest free pple heh.
  

and others too like on the last day of submission

• yen for sweeping floor where i was working even though i'm pretty sure she was quite sick of it.
• fried for letting me wake him at 5am to cut and paste stuff
• j1s who also helped to cut and paste.
• yongfeng who helped me with audacity and burning to dvd
• berny who helped to cut and paste.
• ben for patience for prepboards
• mr gui for lending me the room that is da most quiet place. and the equip of cos
• shuhan and yen for their mastery of skill at making ovaltine
• huizhen for helping me take and photo and print out
• my mum for always having to bring things from home for me eg the wooden table which she did not know was foldable.
• ah yes. ivan. haha new resident of art class.
  

it was insane. i think the last 2 days were the most productive. if time could rewind i doubt i could do it any faster. better maybe. a better system.

strange enough one thing i learnt is from chinyang. to always consider if there is an easier way of doing things. its not a waste of time cos most of the time there might be. just that we settle too easily for whatever we are used to.

and as mr chia says, i'm forever indebted to everyone.

and very importantly to mr chia and mrs toh.
could not have done it without you two. for all the funny moments from mrs toh and all the care and concern. for all the RARE one or 2 "good" s from mr chia and all the scoldings that i can't count. for all the high standards you've set for us that i don't think i achieved but at least let me know that i can and should do better. for letting me use your laptop whose value i believe has plunged by at least half. for all the technology i might have destroyed in the process. and for all the encouragement given and worry i caused.

yay we've reached the end of the tunnel!

to God. for being there every step of the way. for guiding me and for providing awesome friends and teachers and weather. for providing adversity and providing help through it.

my joy and my pain, i'm making them yours. i could not have enjoyed the experience more.

also! thanks to all who prayed for me! God heard.


other random lessons learnt from coursework

• art class is like family.
  
• home is like hotel
• art room cleaning can be super fun
• wooden tables make good sounds. both for sound effects and for resting head on to listen to music box
• we can cook,
• most of us.
• sparrows are good company and they like bread.
  
• sunsets are not beautiful all the time but its still a beautiful time of the day between end of work and start of dinner.
  
• no greater joy than to help others
• no greater reward than other's help whether or not we have done anything to deserve it
• what being a hippe/gypsy is.
• how to be absolutely shameless and look like a hippe/gypsy.
  
• how to treat deep cuts. 1. wash lift above head. 2. send some one to clean up blood splatter before it stains anything 3. scream and panic cos donno what to use. 4. call mr chia or mrs toh. 5. send to clinic. 6. don't let chinyang follow or say any "encouraging words" like "i tell you it will be da bomb pain. it is suppper pain. the needle is da bomb fat."

and i should be going. more next time. i really should post up coursework photos. ah no time. study.
