desperately tired and once more slightly sick of sch.

i sorta have a new take on this term. i want to study. real bad. but at the same time in the span of 3 days my stamina ran out hahah. and at the same time trying hard to save my coursework. especially since i cannot count on SOVA. the least i can do is get my coursework to be an impressive A to pull SOVA up. hahaha easier wished than done.

i'm doing stop motion! how exciting ya?! it should be 24 frames per second but i'm just doing 12 for now hee hee... i have not worked out the timings and all that sorta thing, cos i just tried out a sketch today. it looks quite ok. and amusing. for the first 50 frames. after that it got slightly painful. hahaha. its so messy! cos i used charcoal. it turns into a grey blob after all the erasing but ah heck its a trial. i'm supposed to try 10 seconds but i only did 5.08 hahah. sigh. need stamina. and better planning. and diff location and lighting. and a proper composition now that my medium is fixed.

SO EXCITING. i love stop motion. it brings back childhood sesame street memories. i still watch bits of sesame street and i'm just amazed at their stop motion. hahaha. everyone does claymation or computer animation right. i suppose its more rare. makes me happy to think of that but then again its rare for a reason its tough man hahaha. i was kinda inspired by the watercolour stop motion i saw at laselle. the technique of the drawings need not be good. cos well u see them for like 1/24 of a second. but the overall impact is beautiful enough.

mr chia thinks its kinda old sch. cos most pple now use computer to animate their stuff. and its more of a learning the programme than anything else says he. hahaha i'm so motivated hearing that. but i won't consider the computer animation stuff. i've seen the stuff at lasalle. the stuff that looks the best are the true old sch get down and dirty and draw em yourself things. the claymation at lasalle was pretty good too but i did not stop to watch a lot of it.
