ahhhh really really horrible. din study, when i wanted to, there wasn't any more time. its insane and really really scary! like how often do you go for exams without studying... can die and probably have died. i'm gonna mug so hard for promos this will not happen again.
but in this time of fear and desperation, u really learn how to seek God. how to turn to him for comfort and assurance. even through the worst, he is there to hold our hand, even if we should fail, its not that bad enough to get a nervous break down. when exams come, we tend to forsake our quiet time, forsake our prayer to God in exchange for prayers asking for good grades. how much sincerity do we put into those kind of prayers? instead, if u seek God with all your heart, u will find him
Jeremiah 29:12-13
12 Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. 13 You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.
and the amazing thing is the calmness he can give, even when the situation is bad enough to break the toughest down, the assurance God can give and the trust u place in him is simply unmatched.
the only thing is after the exams, do we still yearn to walk that close to him. or do we forget. lets not forget all the times he brought us through and continue to seek to walk closely with him:)
Isaiah 40: 28-31
28 Do you not know?
Have you not heard?
The LORD is the everlasting God,
the Creator of the ends of the earth.
He will not grow tired or weary,
and his understanding no one can fathom.
29 He gives strength to the weary
and increases the power of the weak.
30 Even youths grow tired and weary,
and young men stumble and fall;
31 but those who hope in the LORD
will renew their strength.
They will soar on wings like eagles;
they will run and not grow weary,
they will walk and not be faint.
this verse, sometimes i favour other verses over this cos i thought this was overused, but i realised that actually its not how common a verse is, but how we read it. and when we read it. and what it speaks out to us.
Isaiah 41:14
14 Do not be afraid, O worm Jacob,
O little Israel,
for I myself will help you," declares the LORD,
your Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
i was reading isaiah 40:30 when i saw this from 41. ahhh how true this is, if Jacob was a worm, so are we. or even less. but the Lord cares for us, even if we are tiny worms:)
